Untrained Operator.

This course covers the OSH approved Code of Practice for Rigging and Load Lifting.

Extracts are used from this code to enable your staff to be fully competent in the process of identifying lifting equipment and thorough knowledge of standards and procedures for safe operation. All material is cross-referenced to New Zealand Power Crane Association Crane Safety Manual.

Topics covered include: Forkhoists OSH and LTSA "F" Endorsement Certificate

This course covers the OSH Approved Code of Practice for Training Operators of Powered Industrial Lift Trucks. It is L.T.S.A. certified

By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • list your responsibilities
  • list your employers responsibilities
  • identify accident and serious harm hazards at your site
  • know your forklift
  • safely change an LPG bottle
  • participate in a pictorial discussion paper
  • and safely pass an operational assessment test
and have knowledge of :
  • hydraulic leaks
  • what causes instability
  • the fulcrum effect
  • the centre of gravity
  • the stability triangle
  • the safe working load
  • tare & gross weights
  • pre-operational safety checks

Also we offer training and assessment of drivers knowledge and skill for LTSA "F" Forklift endorsement for operating a forklift on the road [incl. NZQA recognition]
